::: Flame Arrestor :::
A Flame Arrestor is a device which allows gas to pass through it but stops a flame in order to prevent a larger fire or explosion.There is an enormous variety of situations in which flame arrestor are applied. Anyone involved in selecting flame arrestors needs to understand how these products work and their performance limitations. Flame arrestors are used in many industries like Refining, pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, pulp & paper, oil exploration & production and bulk liquid transportation.
::: Commonly Used on: :::
::: Approval :::
Portotype testing as CMRI standard.
::: Safety :::
Flame arrestors should be used only in the conditions they have been designed and tested for.
Since the depth on an arrester is specified for certain conditions, changes in the temperature, pressure,
or composition of the gases entering the arrester can cause the flame spatial velocity to increase, making the depth of the arrester insufficient to stop the flame front ("flow").
The deflagration may continue downstream of the arrestor.
